Rose (Edwards) DeMello, 86, of Niantic, CT died April 16, 2004 at home after a long illness.
She was the wife of the late Anthony DeMello.
Born in New Bedford, Mass., the daughter of the late Antonio and Maria (deRezendes) Edwards, she had lived in New Bedford most of her life before moving to Niantic in 1988.
She enjoyed spending time with her family.
Survivors include a son, Anthony DeMello, and his wife Sharon, of New Bedford; 3 daughters, Frances Pimentel of Niantic, Marion Gammons of Stafford Springs, Conn., and Maria Barboza, and her husband Robert, of Poughkeepsie, NY; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Lorna DeMello and sister of the late Elias Edwards, Manuel Edwards, Anthony Edwards, Frank Edwards and Mary Gullion.
