Jimmie Ruth Seymour Bush, 79, of Tifton died Sunday, April 15, 2012, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 18, 2012, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Dr. Danny Ray and Rev. Brantley Seymour will officiate with burial to follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Josh Goodman, Chase Goodman, Jay Rigsby, Matt Rigsby, Brian Bailey, Craig Seymour and Jeff Seymour will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 17, 2012, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. The family will be meeting at the home of Rev. and Mrs. Brantley Seymour, 2307 U.S. Highway 82 East in Tifton.
Mrs. Bush was born on July 26, 1932 in Bainbridge and was the daughter of J. B. Seymour and Hazel Spinks Seymour, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Auburn Robert Bush; one daughter, Sheila Teresa Bush Cross; two brothers, Stanley Seymour and Randall Seymour; and one sister, Catherine Seymour. She was a homemaker and a member of New Bethel Baptist Church. She loved to cook and spend time with her family.
Mrs. Bush is survived by one son, Robert Christopher “Chris” Bush of Tifton; one son-in-law, Charlie Cross of Atlanta; three brothers, Rev. Brantley Seymour of Tifton, Bobby Seymour of Ty Ty and Claris Seymour of Tifton; two grandchildren, India Cross and Ashley Bailey; and two great-grandchildren, Eston Bailey and Rowan Bailey.
