Obituary

Worcester – Lorraine A. (Domey) Conway, 65, of Worcester, died on Saturday, April 14 in the Meadows of Leicester after an illness.

Lorraine was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Frederick and Loretta (Barrett) Domey and is also predeceased by her husband, Paul Conway who died in 1988.

She is survived by a son, Andrew C. Conway and his wife Tina of Wakefield, NH; five sisters, Shirley Blomquist, Janet Rauktis, Nancy Chakuas, Patricia Dennison all of Worcester and Pamela Boiteau of Wakefield, RI; 3 grandchildren, Paul, Scott and Andrew Conway Jr.; a close friend, John Egan of Boston and many nephews and nieces.

Mrs. Conway devoted her entire career to social services. She retired in 2009 from Gold Rush West in Reno, Nevada where she worked for 11years. Lorraine previously worked at the Head Start Program in Worcester, Jeremiah’s Inn and also for Lutheran Social Services.

She is a graduate of the former Commerce High School and enjoyed doing ceramics, reading John Grisham novels and watching Law & Order whenever it was on.

A funeral will be held on Thursday, April 19, from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in Christ the King Church 1052 Pleasant St. Burial will follow in Saint John’s Cemetery. Calling hours are on Wednesday, April 18 from 4 to 7 PM in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Christ the King Church 1052 Pleasant Street Worcester, MA 01602.
