SALEM- Louise M. (Foster) Roberts, 76, formerly of Salem, wife of the late Richard Stillman Roberts, died Thursday evening, April 15, 2004 at the Radius Healthcare Center, Beverly, following a long illness.
Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Harold L. and Adeline Osbourne Stainer (Walker) Foster, and was a lifelong resident of the city until her illness.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed at Peter’s Laundry, and previously worked at Parker Bros., both in Salem
Mrs. Roberts is survived by two sons, Stephen A. Roberts and R. Douglas Roberts, both of Salem, one daughter, Linda E. Sullivan of Beverly, three grandchildren, Rachel M. Roberts of Essex, Craig M. Roberts of Salem, Andrew F. Stephens of Limerick, Maine, one brother, Harold Foster of Tustin, California, one sister, Betty Choate of Key West, Florida and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Ronald E. Roberts.
Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 20, 2004 at 2 pm in the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, 84 Washington Square East, by Salem Common, Salem. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours are Tuesday, 12 to 2 pm, prior to the service. Burial is in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem.
