Ronald C. Dupree, 65

Dateline: Mansfield, MA

Ronald C. Dupree, 65, a lifelong resident of Mansfield, passed away peacefully, after a brief illness, on Saturday April 14, 2012 at the Southeast Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center in Easton.
Born in Attleboro, MA March 4, 1947, he was a loving son of Angie T. (Brogna) Dupree of Mansfield and the late Ralph F. Dupree.
Ron grew up in Mansfield and was a 1965 graduate of Mansfield High School. During the Vietnam War, he proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army for three years, prior to be honorably discharged. He later attended Chamberlain Junior College in Boston.
For over 20 years, Ron was employed at the UMASS Boston Library. He was a lifelong communicant of St. Mary’s church in Mansfield.
He was an avid reader and loved watching and collecting old movies. He enjoyed quiet times at home and especially spending time in the presence of his loving family.
In addition to his loving mother, he is survived his devoted sister; Deborah M. Bortolotti and her husband Paul of Foxboro. He was the dear uncle of Brian F. Bortolotti and Kristen J. Bortolotti both of Foxboro, and is also many cherished aunts, uncles and cousins.
His Funeral Mass, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be celebrated on Thursday April 19th at 10:30 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church, 330 Pratt St. (Route 106) Mansfield. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Mansfield.
Visitation will be held prior the services on Thursday morning beginning at 9:00 A.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main St, Mansfield.
