Obituary

Lillian T. Cole, 92, of New Bedford died April 16, 2004 at Sacred Heart Home.

Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late William T. and Agnes (McCloskey) Cole, she had lived in New Bedford for all of her life. She was a graduate of Hyannis Normal School.

She was a lifelong parishioner of Holy Name Church.

Miss Cole was formerly employed as a school teacher with the City of New Bedford Public School Department for many years until her retirement from the Elizabeth Carter Brooks School.

She was a member of the Catholic Women's Club, National Educators Association and Massachusetts Teachers Association, and a former member of the Holy Name Women's Guild.

Survivors include a sister-in-law, Helen Cole of New Bedford; 2 nephews, Richard Cole , and his wife Jo-Ann, of Winthrop, Maine, and Daniel Cole, and his wife Anna, of Canton; a niece, Patricia Wright of Bonita Springs, Fla.; 2 grandnephews, Eric Wright and Arthur Wright, both of New York; and 2 grandnieces, Diana Cole and Meghan Cole, both of Canton.

She was the sister of the late Richard A. Cole, William J,. Cole, Henry A. Cole, Father M. Matthew Cole, O.C.S.O., Charles J. Cole, Leo J. Cole and Mary A. Cole.

Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New BedfordWednesday, April 21st at 8 AM.Funeral Mass at Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church at 9 AM.Relatives and friends are invited to attend.

Visiting hours Tuesday, April 20th from 4-7 PM.

Interment St. Mary's Cemetery.
