
Mr. John F. Pellegrino of Medford, formerly of Arlington died on Thursday in Life Care Center in Stoneham. Born in Boston, son of the late Matteo and Josephine (Gandolfo) Pellegrino, he was a Medford Resident for over 25 years. He attended Somerville High School. Mr. Pellegrino had worked as a supervisor in the mail handling operations in Harvard University. He retired from there 15 years ago.
Mr. Pellegrino was an avid walker and many a day would find him walking in the early hours. He was fascinated with following financial trends and securities. He had a keen eye for collecting precious Hummels. He leaves 2 brothers, Joseph Pellegrino and his wife Frances of Lowell, Frank Pellegrino and his wife Carol of Londonderry NH, a sister Frances Amari and her husband Robert of Medford. Brother in law of Grace Pellegrino of Arlington, wife of the late Anthony Pellegrino. Brother of the late Gasparina, Josephine and infant Josephine Pellegrino. Loving uncle of 15 nieces and nephews and 10 grand nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Dello Russo Family Funeral Home 306 Main Street Medford on Tuesday at 9:00 AM. A funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street Medford at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Monday 4-8 pm. Services will conclude with burial in St. Michael Cemetery, Boston.
