Obituary

Mr. Andrew A. DeFrancesco, age 95, died April 13, 2012, in Wilmington at Woodbriar Nursing Home. Born in Boston, Andrew was the devoted son of the late Angelina (Giuffre) and John DeFrancesco.
Andrew has been a Medford resident since 1950, formerly of Boston. He was a Registry of Motor Vehicle Police Officer, as an inspector of Equipment, in the Boston office. Retiring in 1982 after 27 years. He was a US Army veteran of World War II, serving from 1941-1945, and recipient of the Bronze Star. Andrew was a member of the Medford K of C, American Legion Post #45 and the Forever Young Club. He loved to garden at home, but mostly he enjoyed his loving family.
Andrew was the beloved husband of the late Mary (Badessa) DeFrancesco. Devoted father of John DeFrancesco and his wife Martha of Burlington, Andrea Peters and her husband Mark of East Boothbay, ME, and Marie Moura of Kittery Point, ME. Loving grandfather of Paul DeFrancesco and his wife Kristina, Karen Mullins and her husband Mark, David DeFrancesco and his wife Denee, Melissa Stewart and her husband Gordon, Christine Hamilton and her husband Mark, Erica Moura, Danielle Moura and her husband Kris Kucala, and John Moura. Loving Great Grandfather of Ella & Julia Mullins, Olivia & Alex Stewart. Brother of Josephine Scutellaro and her husband Joseph of Saugus, and the late Rose Vaudo and Frank "Butch" DeFrancesco. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 374 Main St. WILMINGTON, Monday April 16th at 9 AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Margaret Church, 109 Winn St. Burlington at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Sunday 4 thru 8.
Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
