Marie S. (Sonia) Cole, 81, of Mattapoisett died April 16, 2004 at Tobey Hospital after a period of failing health.
She was the wife of the late William E. Cole.
Born in Arlington, the daughter of the late Louis and Catherine (Farrell) Cole, she had lived in Bridgewater for many years before retiring to Mattapoisett 15 years ago.
She was a communicant of St. Anthony's Church in Mattapoisett.
Mrs. Cole was formerly employed as office manager for the Town of Bridgewater Water Department for many years until her retirement.
Survivors include a son, Richard Cole of Mattapoisett; a daughter, Catherine A. Reed of Williamsburg, VA; 6 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.
She was the mother of the late William P. Cole.
