Gertrude A. MacIvor, 93, of Franklin, died, Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at Kindred Transitional Care & Rehabilitation in Franklin.
Born in Franklin on August 26, 1918, she was a daughter of the late Neil D. and Eunice (MacNeil) MacIvor.
Miss MacIvor was a lifelong resident of Franklin and graduated from Franklin High School in 1936.
Before her retirement, Miss MacIvor worked at the Foxboro Co. for 36 years and had formerly worked at the N.E. Telephone Co. in the Franklin office.
Miss MacIvor was a longtime member of the Franklin Federated Church.
She is survived by her nephew Donald Douglas, with whom she resided, as well as two other nephews and one niece. She is also survived by many grand nephews and nieces and great-grand nephews and nieces.
She was predeceased by her brothers, Angus and Archibald MacIvor and her sisters, Isabel Emery and Arlene Stobbart.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Saturday, April 14 in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin, 131 Main St. in Franklin at 1 p.m.
Burial will follow at Union Street Cemetery in Franklin.
