Jacqueline (Horan) Beckmann, 79, of Dartmouth died April 11, 2012 unexpectedly at home.
She was the wife of the late Robert J. Beckmann.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Thomas B. Horan, M.D. and Dorothy (Donaghy) Horan, she was raised in Padanaram. She retired to the village in 1993 after raising their family in Lake Forest, IL.
She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Dartmouth.
Survivors include a son, Robert J. Beckmann, Jr. of Sarasota, FL; a daughter, Catherine M. Beckmann of Darien, CT; 2 brothers, William Horan of New Bedford and Peter Horan, M.D. of Dartmouth; a sister, Mary Hawes of Sarasota, FL; and nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Robert Horan, D.D.S., James Horan, Thomas Horan, Jr., M.D. and Nancy Stone.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, April 14th at 10 AM in St. Mary's Church, South Dartmouth. Burial will follow in South Dartmouth Cemetery. Visiting hours are omitted. Arrangements are with the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
