Perasso, Louis J. “Louie” Of Woburn, formerly of Somerville, April 9, 2012. Devoted son of the late Emma (Bartalena) & John Perasso. Brother of the late John “Leo” Perasso, Helen Blevins and Peter Perasso. Also survived by family, friends and caretakers. Long time truck driver for the Metropolitan District Commission. Late US Army veteran of World War II, a member of the 740th Tank Battalion and recipient of the Good Conduct medal, Victory medal, American Theater Campaign Ribbon, European African Middle Eastern Theater Campaign Ribbon, and the Purple Heart, for wounds suffered in Germany in 1945. Active member of the VFW Somerville Post #529. A funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St. Stoneham, Friday April 13th at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours have kindly been omitted. Services to conclude with burial at St. Patrick Cemetery, Stoneham.
