Obituary

Priscilla Blakely, a lifelong resident of Medford, died at her home on Saturday, April 7, 2012. She was 84 years old.
Born in Medford on June 26, 1927, she was the beloved daughter of the late E. Earl and Ruth (Randall) Blakely. Priscilla was a graduate of the Perkins Institute for the Blind in Watertown and also Tufts University. She was employed by Liberty Mutual for more than 37 years as a Transcriptionist. Priscilla was an active member of the Medford Women’s Club and a board member for the Counsel on Aging. She also was a lifelong member of the Congregational Church of West Medford where she enjoyed singing in the church choir.
Priscilla is survived by her loving niece; Christine (Blakely) and her husband Kenneth Albertelli of Woburn, nephew; David R. and his wife Noriko Blakely of Winchester, great nieces and great nephews; Matthew and Andrew Albertelli and Mariko and Julia Blakely. Priscilla is also survived by her loving seeing eye dog, Cira. She was also the the loving sister of the late John R. Blakely.
Her memorial service was celebrated in the Congregational Church of West Medford, 400 High Street, W. Medford, on Saturday, April 14, 2012, at 11 AM. Many relatives and friends respectfully attended. Interment was private. Donations in Priscilla's memory may be made to the Perkins Institute for the Blind, 175 North Beacon Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
