Dorothy L. McAskill, 64

Dateline: Attleboro Falls, MA

Dorothy L. “Dottie” McAskill, 64, of Attleboro Falls, formerly of Attleboro and Norton, passed away peacefully on Friday April 6, 2012 at the Golden Living Center in Attleboro. She was the dear companion of David MacDonald of Attleboro Falls.
Born in Boston, MA on November 1, 1947, she was a loving daughter of the late Francis McAskill and Dorothy (Sipula) McLean.
Dottie grew up and was educated in Norton. She had made her home in Attleboro Falls for the past 8 years and had formerly resided in Attleboro for many years.
Prior to retiring, Dottie had worked as an aide at the former Pleasant Manor Nursing Home in Attleboro. She had previously been employed at both the Swank Co. and the Shields Co. in Attleboro.
When younger, along with her family, she had attended the Trinitarian Congregational Church in Norton. Dottie loved cats, word search puzzles and hand held computer games. Her favorite flower was lilacs, and she also enjoyed trips to Foxwoods Casino and New Hampshire; Franconia Notch being her favorite place of destination.
In addition to her dear companion David, she is survived by her devoted children; Susan Overfield and David Perrott, III both of Pawtucket and Sandra Knollman of Cincinnati, Ohio. She was the sister of the late Patricia Thatcher and is also survived by 7 grandchildren, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Graveside Funeral Services, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Monday April 16th at 10:00 A.M. in the Norton Center Cemetery, Pine St., Norton.
