Rita M. (Lowles) Rozinha, 88, of Westport died Friday, April 6, 2012 at Sarah S. Brayton Nursing Home after a long illness. She was the wife of the late David C. Rozinha.
Born in Acushnet, daughter of the late George T. and Florence (Bergeron) Lowles, she had lived in Westport since 1947. She was a 1942 graduate of New Bedford Regional Vocational High School. Prior to retirement in 1984, she was a postal clerk at the Noquochoke office in Westport for 21 years. Mrs. Rozinha was a Communicant of St. John the Baptist Church, Westport, a member of the St. John the Baptist Ladies Guild, the Portuguese American Civic League, the Westport Woman’s Club and the Noquochoke Senior Citizens of Westport.
Survivors include a son: David T. Rozinha of Westport. MA; and several nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial to which relatives and friends are invited will be Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at St. John the Baptist Church, Westport at 10:00 A.M.
Interment will be private.
