
Mrs. Fern D. (Trask) Stokes, 57, died Wednesday surrounded by her family at home in Methuen. Daughter of Walter and Dolores (Beaulieu) Trask she was born in Haverhill and returned to the Merrimack Valley after living in Michigan and Indiana. Mrs. Stokes worked as a nurses aide at local nursing homes including Mary Immaculate in Lawrence and Colonial Heights in New Hampshire. She enjoyed spending time with her family and volunteering with many local charities. Mrs. Stokes was pre-deceased by her son Joshua DeRemer. She is survived by her husband James Stokes of Methuen, three daughters Tracy DeRemer of Methuen, Marcia Cavaretta and her fiancé Jorge Calderon of Deltona, FL, and Jan Couture of Lawrence. One son Jason DeRemer and his girlfriend Heidi Ramos of Lawrence. One sister Kim and her husband Roy Bright of Pleasanton, KS one brother Robert Trask and his wife Kathy of Haverhill. There are 11 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call on Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Plonowski Funeral Home. 180 Jackson Street, Lawrence.
