Obituary

George Campbell Brown, Jr, age 74, of Duxbury, MA, formerly of Norwood, Plymouth and Pembroke, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, April 4, 2012, in Boston, MA.

Born in New York City, he was the son of the late George Campbell, Sr. & Eleanor (MacEnroe) Brown. George was a member of the United States Marine Corps. and served proudly in the 1950's. There is truth to the phrase, "Once a Marine, always a Marine", because this "IS" the essence of George. He was remembered and highly respected by his peers within the Southern Massachusetts Automobile Industry from the 1960's to the present.

He was the beloved husband of Susan C. (Hoadley) Brown. George is survived by his sons, George Scott Brown of California and Jeffrey Charles Brown of Hanover; his daughters, Wendy Evans and Tracey Cheves both of Rhode Island; and his former wife, Beverly Duke of Rhode Island; George's two stepsons, Michael J. Kent of New Hampshire and Christopher R. Kent of Kingston, and his ten grandchildren. He was the beloved brother of James T. Brown & his wife Sheila of Vermont and Marilyn Crawford & her late husband Bill of New Jersey.

Memorial services will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main Street, (Route 106), Kingston, on Monday, April 16, 2012 at 1:00 PM.
