Worcester – Helen R. (Korsak) Cook, 82 of 38 Summerhill Ave. died on Tuesday April 13 in Umass Memorial Medical Center Memorial Campus after a brief illness.
Her husband Edward E. Cook died in 1999. She leaves a daughter Joyce Wine of Worcester; two brothers Joseph D. Krosoczka of Worcester and David E. Krosoczka of Los Angeles; two sisters Ann Altieri of Worcester and Jenny Gibris of Woburn; 3 grandchildren; 1 great grandson and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Cook was born in Worcester daughter of Bernard and Anna (Koslofska) Korsak and graduated from South High School.
She worked as a machinist for over 30 years at Sem-Tec and Tube Valve Co. before retiring in 2001. Previously Mrs. Cook was an inspector for 9 years at the telechron division of General Electric.
Mrs. Cook was a member of Immaculate Conception Church.
The funeral will be held on Saturday April 17 from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home (www.Royfuneral.com) 12 Hammond St. with a mass at 10 AM in Immaculate Conception Church 353 Grove St. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery.
