Obituary

Mr. Gaetano DiAgostino, 68, of Burlington died peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Aurelia (Stallone) DiAgostino with whom he shared more than 38 years of marriage. Born in Salemi-Trapani, Sicily Italy, son of the late Salvatore and Rosa (Mangogna) DiAgostino, he was educated there. At the age of 27 he emigrated from Italy to the United States and settled in Somerville, he has been a Burlington Resident since 1980. He was a Tile Contractor by trade. He worked hard and in 1980 established a business in Burlington, DiAgostino Tile and Marble, a tradition carried on today by his son. He was known as a tireless worker and loved nothing more than being surrounded by his sons, their wives and his beloved grandchildren. In earlier years he and his wife enjoyed going out and dancing. He was famous for his love of pasta!
In addition to his wife, he leaves 3 sons, Salvatore DiAgostino of Manchester NH, Roberto DiAgostino and his wife Kathryn of Peabody and Gianfranco DiAgostino of Burlington. Loving Grandfather of Vincent and Luca DiAgostino of Peabody. Dear brother of Maria Baudanza and her husband Nicola, Marianna Crimi and her husband Girolamo all of Italy. He is the cherished uncle of Joe Crimi of East Boston and he leaves several other nieces and nephews in Italy.

A funeral will be held on Saturday in the McLaughlin Dello Russo Funeral Home 60 Pleasant Street Woburn at 9:00 AM. A blessing will be held in St. Margaret Church 109 Winn Street Burlington at 10:00 am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 4-8 pm. Services will conclude with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
