
Rita M. (Kitchen) Doran, 92, of Natick died Monday, April 2, 2012 at the Wayland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was the beloved wife of the late Attorney Francis M. “Mike” Doran who died in 2002.
A Natick resident for 50 years, she was born in Fall River the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (Pariseau) Kitchen.
Mrs. Doran was a Purchasing Agent at the Natick Army Laboratories for 25 years and previously was employed by the New England Telephone Company.
She was Chairwoman of the Natick Bicentennial Committee in 1976, a member of the South Natick Historical Society, member of the Women’s Investment Club, and former member of Sacred Heart Parish in South Natick.
Mrs. Doran traveled extensively to Europe with her late husband, was an avid skier, and enjoyed summers at Humarock Beach.
She is survived by two sons, Francis M. Doran, Jr. and his wife Marta of Waban, Mark A. Doran of Sherborn, her granddaughter Charlotte Doran, and ten nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Louise Firth.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral on Monday, April 9th at 9 :00 A.M. from the John Everett and Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street, at Natick Common, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St Patrick’s Church at 10:00 A.M.
Private burial will take place in Glenwood Cemetery.
