Lillian Simmons Bell, age 95, of Douglas, GA passed away on Tuesday, April 3, 2012, at Coffee Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. Mrs. Bell was born on August 20, 1916, in Swainsboro, GA to the late Maude Maxwell and Walter Elliott Simmons.
Survivors include: her son, Eugene D. (Linda) Bell, Jr., of Fernandina Beach, FL; one daughter, Elizabeth Simmons Bell (Darrell) Lumpkin , of Macon, GA.; one sister, Dr. Kathryn Lovett, of Statesboro, GA; one brother, Gene Simmons, of Swainsboro, GA; five grandchildren, Eugene (Shari) Bell, Laura (Charles) Wright, Lisa Bell, Kathryn Bertram, and Frances Anderson; five great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 5, 2012 from 11 am to 1 pm.
Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 5, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Andrews Episcopal Church with Father Curtis Mears officiating. Interment followed at Douglas City Cemetery.
