WEBSTER – Dorothy J. (Laramie) Berthiaume, 87, of 12 Golden Heights, died Tuesday, April 13, in Webster Manor. Her husband of 36 years, George H. Berthiaume, died in 1975.
She leaves 4 children, David of Lunenburg, Dennis R. and wife Evelyn of Webster, Charmaine Ryan and husband Jack of Putnam, CT, and Kenneth Berthiaume and wife Carol of Orange;grandchildren Raymond, Gregory, Jeffrey and Matthew Berthiaume, Colleen Shapiro, D. Curt and Paula Berthiaume, and Kenneth and Paul Berthiaume; 8 great grandchildren; and a brother, Raymond Laramie of Webster.
She was born in Webster, the daughter of William and Rose (Brousseau) Laramie and was a resident of the area most of her life. She graduated from Bartlett High School in1935.
Mrs. Berthiaume was a homemaker. She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, and had once been a teacher of christian doctrine there. When she moved to Golden Heights, she ran the activities center there for many years. She was skilled at crocheting, knitting and needlepoint.
The funeral will be held Saturday, April 17, from the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School Street, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 16 East Main Street. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. A calling period will be from 8:15 to 9:15 Saturday morning at the funeral home.
