Mary I. (Airozo) Gaspar, 91, of New Bedford died Monday April 12, 2004 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late John C. Gaspar.
Born in Mattapoisett, the daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Rebello) Airozo, she had lived in New Bedford for most of her life.
She was a communicant of Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church.
Survivors include a niece, Eileen Fenton, and her husband Donald, of South Dartmouth; two nephews, Louis Lima of Florida and Raymond Lima; and several great-nieces and great-nephews, including Thomas Fenton, Russell Fenton, Donna Morin, and Brenda Lopes.
She was the sister of the late Frank Airozo and John Airozo.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, Friday April 16, 2004 at 9 AM.Funeral Mass at Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church at 10 AM.Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours will be on Thursday April 15, 2004 from 6-8 PM. Burial will be in Rural Cemetery.
