James T. Callow, II, age 53, of Bridgewater, formerly of Brockton, died unexpectedly, March 28, 2012. He was the son of the late Edward J. and Beatrice M. (Ippolito) Callow. Jim was raised in Brockton and attended Brockton High School, Northeastern University and Massasoit Community College. Jim had been employed by Travelers Insurance for 26 years and retired as a Senior Claims Representative. Jim loved to fish, spend time at the Cape Cod Canal and watch old movies. He was a lifetime member of the Bertocci Memorial Club, and an avid New England sports fan. Jim was a compassionate man with a big heart that would do anything for anyone.
He is survived by his brothers and sisters Edward J. Callow, Jr. of East Bridgewater, Linda M. Higgins and her husband Fred of Bridgewater, Kathryn M. Pike of East Bridgewater, Lori A. Guibor of California and Thomas M. Callow of Bridgewater; six nieces and nephews, two great nephews, many cousins and numerous close friends.
Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Monday 4-8pm. The funeral procession will form at the funeral home on Tuesday at 9am. Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, West Bridgewater at 10am. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery.
