Priscilla R. Sweeney, 93 of Medford MA, died Thursday in her home after a lengthy illness. Born in Dorchester, she was the daughter of the late Arthur T. and the late Jane Angier (Goldie) Robinson. Mrs. Sweeney was a Medford resident for twenty-three years formerly of West Roxbury. She served as the secretary for the Brook Farm Civic Association of West Roxbury for several years. Mrs. Sweeney is also a tenth generation descendent of John Priscilla Alden of the Mayflower. She was primarily a homemaker and loving mother and nanna to her children and grandchildren. Mrs. Sweeney is predeceased by her husband John R. Sweeney and is survived by three children, daughter Mary Jane Packard of Goffstown, NH, son John Russell Sweeney of Warner, NH and daughter Joan A. McGrath of Medford. She is also survived by eight loving grandchildren and eight loving great grandchildren.
A funeral mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 9:00 AM in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St., Medford. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Services will conclude with burial at St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury. Visiting hours Monday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford.
