Mrs. Sheryl A. “Sheri” (Riendeau) Stevens, of East Taunton, died Thursday, March 29 in the Brigham and Womens Hospital, Boston, surrounded by her family following a courageous battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of Craig Stevens. She was born 52 years ago in Taunton, the daughter of Loretta (Beauvais) Riendeau and the late Henry T. “Hank” Riendeau. She was educated in Taunton, having graduated from Taunton High School, and had been a lifelong city resident. She was employed as a clerk at Trucchi’s Supermarket on Tremont Street in Taunton for 23 years. She was previously employed at the former Caldor’s Department Store in Taunton, and had also been employed at Reed and Barton Silversmiths. Sheri enjoyed cooking, crocheting, crafts, and spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband and mother, she leaves: 1 son: Andrew Stevens of East Taunton; 1 daughter: Jessie Stevens of East Taunton; 1 brother: Rick Riendeau and his wife, Karen of Taunton; her father-in-law: Robert Stevens of Raynham, and several brothers and sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held from The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, on Monday, April 2 at 9:00 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in St. Jude the Apostle Church at 10:00 A.M. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours will be held on Sunday, from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M.
