DUDLEY – Esther M. (Kisielewski) Bogatkowski, 89, of Dudley, died Wednesday, March 28, 2012 in Webster Manor after a period of declining health. Her husband of 23 years, Alfred B. Bogatkowski, died in 1972.
She leaves a son, Ronald B. Bogatkowski of Mason, NH; a daughter, Patricia J. Bogatkowski, with whom she lived; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Kisielewski, and by 2 sisters, Veronica Alisch and Emily Czyzewski.
She was born at home in Webster, a daughter of Peter and Frances (Solodyna) Kisielewski. She attended Bartlett High School. She lived in Dudley for over 50 years.
Mrs. Bogatkowski was a spinner at Anglo Fabrics Company and at the American Woolen Company, both in Webster, before she retired.
She was a member of Saint Andrew Bobola Church and of the Holy Rosary Sodality of Saint Joseph Basilica in Webster. She was a volunteer at the parish festival for many years. She enjoyed gardening and was an avid reader.
The funeral will be held Saturday, March 31, from the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School Street, Webster, with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Andrew Bobola Church, 54 West Main Street. Burial will be in St. Joseph Garden of Peace, Webster. A calling period will be from 8:15 to 9:15 AM Saturday, March 31, in the funeral home. Donations in her memory may be made to either St. Joseph Elementary School Tuition Aid Program, 53 Whitcomb St., or to Webster Manor Patient Activities Fund, 745 School St., both in Webster, MA 01570.
