TAUNTON – Jorge M. Botelho husband of Evelina (Tavares) Botelho died on March 27, 2012 at his home surrounded by his family.
He was70.
Born, raised and educated in Sao Miguel, Azores he was the son of the late Manuel and Berta (Moreira) Botelho.
Mr. Botelho served in the Portuguese army and came to this country in 1974.
He was employed as a dye setter for twenty-nine years with Brainin Advance Co. in Attleboro.
He was a communicant of St. Andrew the Apostle Church.
Mr. Botelho enjoyed gardening and took much pride in pruning his grapevine and trees.
He enjoyed most being with his grandchildren.
Besides his wife of the last forty-four years, he leaves two sons, Antonio T. Botelho and his wife Bobbie-Jo, and Edgardo T. Botelho and his wife Anne, all of Taunton; five brothers, Alfonso Botelho of Canada, Dennis and John Botelho, both of Taunton, and Joseph and Antonio Botelho, both of FL; a sister, Maria Faria of Taunton; six grandchildren, Randy, Mason, Austin, Jacob, Julia, and Evan; and many nieces and nephews.
He was also the brother of the late Eduardo Botelho.
His funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton, MA on Saturday, March 31st at 8 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Andrew the Apostle Church at 9 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Friday March 30th from 5 to 8 p.m.
