Worcester - Berthe F. (Rocheleau) St. Martin, 96, of 14 McKinley Rd. formerly of Southgate St. died Thursday Feb. 21 in her home after an illness.
Her husband Theophida J. St. Martin died in 1976. She leaves four daughters Irene Prefontaine of Lady Lake, FL, Lucille St. Martin, Doris Vezina and Pauline Devlin all of Worcester; two sisters Simone Dubeau of St. Gabriel, Quebec and Cecile Rodgers of Berthierville, Quebec; 10 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 14 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. St. Martin is also predeceased by a daughter Loretta Piltzecker. Mrs. St. Martin was born in St. Culbert, Quebec daughter of Joseph and Ernestine (Beland)Rocheleau.
She was the owner of Ted's Bargain Store on Grand St. and also on Cambridge St. for many years retiring in 1970. Mrs. St. Martin was also a member of Holy name of Jesus Church.
The funeral will be held on Monday Feb. 25 from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. with a mass at 10 AM in Holy Name of Jesus Church 53 Illinois St.. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours are on Sunday Feb. 24 from 2 to 4 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Holy Name of Jesus Parish Fund 51 Illinois St. Worcester, MA 01610 or to the Alzheimer's Association.
