Florence Berube, 91, formerly of Woonsocket and Slatersville, died Thursday, March 15th at the Overlook Masonic Health Center in Charlton, MA. She was the wife of the late Leo J. Berube.
Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Donat and Rose Alma (Masse) Beaudet. She was raised in Woonsocket and resided in Slatersville for many years.
In her early years Mrs. Berube was employed in the local textile industry. She later worked for Tenczar Photography. Later she worked in the housekeeping department at St. Antoine Residence before retiring in 1985.
Mrs. Berube was supportive of her late husband Leo’s activities with the American Legion and Civil Defense. She was talented at knitting and enjoyed touring around New England, the Berkshires in particular.
Florence has a special place in her heart for animals and this was evident in the care she gave them.
She is survived by two sons, Richard L. Berube, and his wife Katherine, of Nantucket, MA, and Brett Lee Berube, and his wife Elizabeth, of Texas. Two grandchildren Keith and Joshua Berube. She was the sister of Rene and Maurice Beaudet and Rachael Toupin.

Services and burial are private. Arrangements are by the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave., Woonsocket.
