Donald E. Sabolinski, age 88 resident of Franklin, MA, previously of Sturbridge, MA and West Islip, NY died on Friday, March 23, 2012 at his home in Franklin. Donald was born on July 13, 1923 in Amherst, MA and graduated from Amherst High School in 1941. He served as a second lieutenant in the Air Force during WWII. Donald attended Clarke University and graduated with a BA in economics. He went on to receive his MA from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Donald had a distinguished 35 year career as an educator first as a teacher in Sutton, MA and then as a principal at Berner High School in Massapequa, NY. Donald is survived by his wife of 58 years Jane, his son and daughter in law Dr. Michael L. Sabolinski and Maureen, and his two grandchildren, Michael D. Sabolinski, JD, and Jayne. Services will be held on Tuesday, March 27th at 11 am in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main St. Franklin, followed by a reception at Incontro restaurant in Franklin. Calling hours are Tuesday in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin from 10:00-11:00am. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Donald E. Interment will take place at the National Cemetery in Bourne, MA on Wednesday
