Robert F. Cossar, 88, of Derry, NH, died Friday March 23, 2012 in Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill, MA. He was born in Methuen, MA on September 24, 1923, a son of the late George and Pleasance (Keyes) Cossar. He had had been a resident of Derry for many years, formerly living in Methuen, MA. Bob retired from the Merrimack Paper Mill.
He is survived by one daughter, Heidi Anna Cossar; one son, Howard Scott Cossar; one daughter in law, Marylou Cossar; three grandchildren, Russell, Kathy, and Shannon; as well as five great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Elsie "Sis" Cossar in 2008 and his son Russell Wayne Cossar in 2010.
Calling hours were held on Tuesday, March 27th from 9 - 11am in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. Funeral services followed at 11:00am in the funeral home. The burial was in the Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen, MA.
