FALL RIVER … John C. Souza, 40, of Fall River passed away March 22, 2012 at Charlton Memorial Hospital.
Born in Fall River, he was a son of John P. and Lorraine M. (Parent) Souza of Fall River and had been a lifelong resident of this city.
Mr. Souza was a communicant and former alter server at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church, Fall River, and was a member of A.A., having just received his 5 year medallion. He was a Price Change Manager at Stop & Shop in Brockton for 23 years and enjoyed meteorology, music, dogs, and was a big fan of all Boston sports teams.
Along with his parents, survivors include 2 sisters: Debra A. Gagnon and companion Michael Pacheco of Fall River, Mary Catherine Sisson and husband David of Tiverton, RI, 2 Brothers: Michael J. Souza and wife JoAnn of Fall River, David P. Souza of Fall River, his godmother: Lorraine O’Hara of Fall River, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Monday, March 26, 2012 at 9 AM from the SOUTH COAST FUNERAL HOME, 1555 Pleasant St. Fall River, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church, 15 Thomas St. Fall River. Calling hours will be Sunday, 5-8 PM. Interment will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River. In lieu of flowers, donations in John’s name may be made to The American Heart Association, P.O. Box 417005 Boston, MA 02241-7055.
