Desravines-
Of Brockton March 20th, Jean Mews (83) died in the West Acres Nursing Home after a period of failing health.
He was born in Croix Des Bouquets, Haiti Son of the Late Exuma and Cellie Remy Desravines. While in Haiti Mr Desravines was a male nurse at the local military hospital and also worked as an immigration officer. He was dedicated to his family and church.
Survivors include 4 Daughters Guirlene and Carole Desravines both of Brockton, Yolene Pierre-Paul of Florida, Carine Desravines of Haiti. 4 Sons Etzer, Lyonel and Reginal Desravines all of Haiti, Butler Desravines of Canada. Many Grandchildren including Christie and Jessie Laurore, and Minouche Sauveur all of Brockton, a Great-granddaughter Greenlee Sauveur of Brockton.
Funeral services will be celebrated in the Haitian 7th Day Adventist Church 237 Court St Brockton (Across from the Funeral Home) Sunday April 1st at 4 pm. Visitation in the Church from 3 pm prior to services. A Graveside service will be held Monday April 2nd at 10 am. Procession will form at the Home of Funerarais Multi Culturel at 9:30 am.
