Obituary

WORCESTER___Mary A. (Gircys) Duggan, 74, of 113 Perry Ave., died Friday April 9 in her home.

She leaves a son, Robert J. Duggan of Worcester; a brother, Alfonsas Gircys of Seminole, Fl., a sister, Birute Zenkus of Worcester, two grandchildren, Michael and Kristina and nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by three brothers and two sisters. She was born in Birzai, Lithuania, daughter of Antanas and Valerija (Pranckunas) Gircys and has lived in Worcester since 1949.

Mrs. Duggan worked soldering metal parts several years for David Clark Co., and retired in 1991. Before then she worked for Table Talk Pie Co., and Bee Plastics Co. She was a member of St. Casimir’s Church and enjoyed dancing, reading and cooking. Mrs. Duggan was educated in Lithuania.

The funeral will be held on Tuesday April 13 with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Casimir’s Church, 41 Providence St. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. There are no calling hours. HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL SERVICE, 33 Ward St., is directing funeral arrangements.
