Obituary

CHARLTON-Stephen R. Burlingame, Sr., 59, of Charlton died Sunday, March 18th at the Rose Monahan Hospice Residence surrounded by his loving family. He leaves his devoted wife and best friend of 40 years, Debbie (Parker) Burlingame; a son, Stephen R. Burlingame, Jr. and his wife, Jennifer of Hamden, CT; a daughter, Shani Dixson and her husband, Keith of Worcester; a brother, Michael Burlingame; a sister, Susan Armstrong of Arizona; six grandchildren, Rachelle, Zachary, Jessica, Matthew, Alexander and Samuel; many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews and his faithful companions, his dogs, Phoebe and Haylee. He was predeceased by a daughter, Laura Burlingame and a grandson, Evan.
He was born in Worcester the son of Richard F. and Jeanne (Desautels) Burlingame. Mr. Burlingame worked at Acme Pre-Pack in the shipping and receiving department for many years. His family was his world. He was an avid gardener and bird watcher and loved watching the New England Patriots.
Stephen’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at the VNA Hospice and all the caregivers he had throughout his illness.
Funeral services and burial will be private.
