Obituary

Virginia M. (Catalano) Cataldo, 92, of Franklin died March 18 in Woodstock, New York, at the home of her son. She was the wife of the late Henry C. Cataldo for 53 years.
Born in Franklin, October 3, 1919, the daughter of the late Fortunato and Pasqualina (Grosso) Catalano, Mrs. Cataldo was a life long Franklin resident.
She was a graduate of Franklin High School.
Mrs. Cataldo had worked as a secretary for the Haywood Mills and for the Town of Franklin School Department.
Virginia had been a life long member of the St. Mary’s Church Women’s Club.
She is survived by her children, Henry C. Cataldo Jr. and his wife Barbara of Woodstock, New York and her daughter Donna F. Taft and her husband James of Avon, Connecticut.
She was the mother of the late Anne M. Cataldo.
She is also survived by her brother Robert R. Catalano.
She was the sister of the late John, Anthony, Atilio and Mary Molla.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Michael, Katherine, Henry III, and Caitlin.
She also is survived by her nephew Fran Molla and his companion Paula Crandall and his children, Paul and his wife Christine, and Beth and her husband Peter and several grandnieces and grandnephews.
Her funeral will be held on Thursday, March 22 from the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin, 131 Main St. in Franklin at 9:15 followed by a funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church at 10:00 a.m.
Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m.
