
WAYLAND/ CLEARWATER, FL: Charlotte Louise (Anzivino) Pescosolido, 85, of Clearwater, FL and Marshfield formerly of Wayland died peacefully under the care and comfort of her family at her childhood residence on Saturday, March 17, 2012 following a brief illness.
She was born in Natick on March 12, 1927 the daughter of the late Dominic Anzivino, Sr. and Emily E. (Laroque) Anzivino.
Charlotte was the beloved wife for 56 years of the late Joseph E. “Joe” Pescosolido who died on Dec. 17, 2010
She was the devoted and loving mother of Peter Pescosolido of Marlborough, Paul Pescosolido of Wayland and Toni-Jo P. Birk and her husband Bart of Westhampton, NY. Cherished Grammy of Antonio and Alexandra Birk of Westhampton, NY. Also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews and her close circle of friends of Clearwater, FL. She was the sister of the late Jean Rousseau and Dominic Anzivino, Jr.
Charlotte spent her formative years in Wayland and resided for over 60 years with her family in Wayland before moving to Clearwater, FL where she has resided for 26 years. She was a graduate of Wayland High School Class of 1945 and from LaSalle Junior College in Newton. In her earlier years she was associated with Filenes in their Boston and Wellesley stores before she married and raised her family in Wayland. For over 15 years she was the school monitor assistant at the Wayland High School and also worked as a kindergarten aide in the Wayland School system.
Charlotte was affectionately known as the “Farmer’s Daughter” as the Anzivino family owned and operated the Walnut Hill Farm on Commonwealth Road and Loker Street for many years. The farm was well known as the home of the best butter and sugar corn.
Charlotte was devoted to her family who were the center of her life and that love extended to her many friends and her children’s friends as well. She particularly loved to cook, was an avid reader and loved spending the past 48 years at their summer residence in Marshfield with her family around her. She will be greatly missed by all of the lives that she touched over the years.
Visitations will be held on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Rd (Off Rte 30), Wayland.
Funeral Services and interment will be private at the Anzivino family lot in Lakeview Cemetery in Wayland for her family.
IN lieu of flowers, her family suggests that memorial gifts in Charlotte’s memory may be sent to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Place West, 6th Floor, Brookline, MA 02445 and would be appreciated.
