Marjorie Bashaw, 79, of Fanning Lane, died Thursday, March 15, 2012 at Miriam Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Gilbert Bashaw.
Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late William and Ethel (Nicholson) Forrest. She lived in Smithfield most of her life. Her passions included the ocean, her garden and feeding the squirrels.
She is survived by her children: Michael E. Bashaw of Glocester, Cathy L. McHugh of Burrillville, David S. Bashaw of Johnston, Gilbert J. Bashaw, Jr. of East Greenwich, ten grandchildren and one great grandson. She was a sister of the late Dorothy Fay.
Funeral Tuesday at 8:30 AM from the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Greenville. Burial in RI Veterans Cemetery. Visitation Monday 4-7PM.
