FRANKLIN—Carmela A. (Antonelli) Bartelloni 96, of Franklin, died Wednesday March 14, 2012 at Mt. St. Rita Health Center in Cumberland, RI following a long illness. She was the wife of the late Leo C. “Bucky” Bartelloni.
Born January 22, 1916 in Dedham, a daughter of the late Antonio & Mary (Chiavaro) Antonelli, she had been a resident of Franklin since the 1940’s.
She was raised and educated in Norwood, and was a retired homemaker.
Mrs. Bartelloni was well known for her ability to cook fabulous meals for her family and friends; she also enjoyed trips to Foxwoods and playing bingo.
She was a member of the Quattro Eroi Lodge Sons of Italy, Franklin, and a communicant of St. Mary’s Church.
Mrs. Bartelloni is survived by her children; Leo C. Bartelloni and his wife Patricia of Ozona, Fla., and Marie A. Rafferty of Franklin, & a brother Angelo Antonelli of CA.
She was the sister of the late Marie Strecker, Nicolette DiFlamines, Mary DelSignore, Joseph & Daniel Antonelli.
Also surviving are her grandchildren; Andrea Bartelloni Wilson, Susan Bartelloni, Jesse Bartelloni, Bryan Rafferty, Laurel Rafferty Fioravanti, and Matthew McCown and several great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Monday Mar. 19th, at 9:30AM from the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. FRANKLIN, www.oterifuneralhome.com, with a funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church 1 Church Sq. at 10AM.
Interment will follow in the family lot at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
