BERNIER- Of Chelsea, March 14th, Ladis P. (Konop). Devoted wife of the late Robert J. Bernier, Sr. Beloved mother of Robert J. Bernier, Jr. of Saugus and Richard P. bernier of Capitola, California. Sister of the late Helen Sullivan, Stephanie Zajaczkowski, Josephine Gubski, Frances Konop, Stella Krolikowski and Chester Konop. Cherished grandmother of Harmonee Falk of South West Ranches, Florida and Cameo Bernier of Revere. Also lovingly survived by her great granddaughter Kai Falk of Florida as well as many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral from the Smith Funeral home, 125 Washington Avenue, CHELSEA on Monday, march 19th at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Stanislaus Church, 163 Chestnut Street, Chelsea at 9 o'clock. Visiting Hours in the Smith Funeral Home on Sunday from 3-7 PM. Services will conclude with interment at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
A lifelong Chelsea resident, Ladis at 87 years of age passed away at the Eastpointe Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on Central Avenue where she was receiving supportive care as her health declined. A Yeoman 3rd Class in he United States Navy during World War II, she worked for 18 years for the Metropolitan Area Planning Council based in Boston and for 5 years for the Chelsea Police Department traffic department and was an active member of the PAV on Fourth Street.
