Obituary

Warren J. McKay, 88, of Franklin, died Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at the Medway Country Manor Nursing Home. He was the husband of Elizabeth “Betty” (McCauley) McKay who died in 2004.

Born in Malden on November 20, 1923, he was the son of the late James and Bertha (Watson) McKay.

Mr. McKay was a resident of Franklin from 1964-2008. He grew up in Everett and was a fireman on the Everett Fire Department for many years until retiring in 1984.

Mr. McKay was a WWII Navy veteran and was a member of the American Legion Post #367 in Medway.

He loved to play golf and enjoyed vacationing on Prince Edward Island.

He is survived by his sister Beth Budrow of Florida, many nieces and nephews, and his dear loving friends Elizabeth and Edward Clark of Medway.

He was the brother of the late Al McKay and Dorothy McKay.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Saturday, March 24 from 11 a.m. – Noon followed by a funeral service at Noon in the Ginley–Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber St. in Medway.

Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Medway.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Purrfect Cat Shelter, P.O., Box 548, Medway, MA 02053.
