Manuel Medeiros, age 70 of Somerset, passed away March 15, 2012 after a lengthy illness. He was the beloved husband of Joyce (Costa) Medeiros and the son of the late Manuel & Costantina (Correia) Medeiros. Prior to retiring, Mr. Medeiros worked for the Foxboro Co., Foxboro, MA as a Machinist. He was a 4th Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus in Fall River, a Mason with the Masonic Temple, and a past V.P. of the St. John’s Club.
Mr. Medeiros was the father of the late Kimberly Marie (Medeiros) Arruda and Manuel Medeiros III (wife Tracey) of Fall River; his grandchildren: David Arruda, Cameron, Jaydon, & Cheyenne Medeiros; sisters: Irene DeCosta of Fall River, Lucy Mendoza of CA, & Beatrice Russell of DE; in-laws: Frank Costa & the late Mary Angela Costa; brother in-law: Ronald Costa (wife Sandra); many nieces & nephews. He was the brother of the late Dorothy Beaulieu.
His funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on MONDAY here at 8:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. John of God Church, Brayton Ave. at 9:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours on SUNDAY from 4-8 P.M.
