James R. Mann, Jr. age 32, of Brockton, formerly of Taunton, died March 11, 2012, following a brief illness. Born in Stoughton, and raised in Hanson and Raynham he was a graduate of Bristol Plymouth Vocational School. In his youth, he enjoyed summers at camp with the Berwick Boys Foundation. Jim was an auto mechanic who could fix anything, and owned JR’s Automotive in Hanson. For many years he was a driver in the Demolition Derby. He was a giving, strong person who was always ready to help others. He enjoyed being together with family and friends and caring for his pets Blue and Chloe.
He is survived by his father James R. Mann, Sr. of Taunton and wife Eileen, mother Patricia A. (Keith) Mann and her significant other Robert Martins of West Bridgewater, sister Jennifer Mann and her boyfriend Jon Kelly of East Bridgewater, half sisters Emily and Mackenzie Mann of Taunton, two nieces Leiara and Madison, god-daughter Aine, god-son Damian, his grandparents Carol and Michael Grigas of E. Bridgewater, and Ann and Thomas Mann of Easton. He also leaves many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Thursday 4-7pm. A private graveside service will be held Friday in Pine Hill Cemetery.
