Matthew P. Malloy, 47 of Canton passed away on Friday, March 9, 2012 at home. Since his graduation from Law School, Matthew was a legal consultant, specializing in personal injury litigation and the general practice of Law. Prior to becoming a consultant, Matt was a residential home builder speculating in real estate development in and around the South Shore. He was a graduate of Canton High School (82'). Matthew earned college degrees in Business Management from Stonehill College in Easton, B.S. (93’) and Juris Doctorate from Roger Williams School of Law in Bristol, RI. (96').
He leaves his two daughters, Shannon and Katherine Malloy along with his former wife, Kathleen Rooney of Canton. Matthew was the son of late Joseph H. & Rosemary A. Malloy, brother of Joann R. Malloy of Canton, Joseph E. Malloy of New Hampshire, Rosemary Cammarata of Canton, Michael J. Malloy of Easton and Jennifer M. McGrath of Taunton. Also survived by several aunts & uncles, numerous cousins and many nieces & nephews.
Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St.Canton Sunday 4-8 pm. The funeral mass is scheduled for Monday, March 19th, at 10:30a.m. at St John the Evangelist Church in Canton with interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
