Beloved husband of Florence (Marshall) Delaney of Hingham. Loving father of Michael E. of Vancouver, BC, and Erin P. Walsh and her husband Richard of Hingham. Dear brother of Theresa Campbell of Cohasset. Proud grandfather of Michael and Delaney Walsh, and Isabella Delaney White. Dear uncle of Eileen Campbell-Burt, Kathleen Damrell, and many other nieces and nephews.
Mr. Delaney was a graduate of Boston University and Boston University Law School. He worked as an assistant administrator & attorney for the SEC for 30 years, and he also worked at Mutual Benefit, a brokerage firm in Rhode Island, from 1992 to 1997. Edward was a member of the South Shore Country Club, and the Thorney Lea Golf Course in Brockton, and for the past few years, he had been taking art classes in Quincy. Edward was an avid golfer and fisherman.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM Saturday at 10:30 AM.
Funeral Liturgy in Saint Paul's Church, Hingham at 11:30 AM.
Visiting hours Friday 4-8 PM.
Burial in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, Monday at 10 AM.
