Skiddell, Jack 85 of Chelsea passed away on March 11, 2012. Jack was born in Boston. He was a resident of Chelsea for 80+ years. He was educated in the Chelsea School System. Jack was a retired pressman for Rust Craft Greeting Cards of Dedham. He was a member of the American Legion Posts of Chelsea and Revere. Jack was a proud WWII and Korean War Veteran. He was an avid Boston Celtic’s Fan.
Jack was the beloved husband of the late Evelyn Skiddell. He was the devoted father of Rabbi Elliot Skiddell and his wife Julie, Sandra Phillips and her husband William, Joseph Skiddell and his wife Jacqueline, Marci Elman and her husband Steven, Lauri Rawls and her husband James and Yona Bollinger and her husband Zev. He was the dear brother of Myra Barry, the late Harris Skiddell and the late Elliot Skiddell. Loving grandfather of Joshua, Lindsey, Sarit, Elanit, Noam, Chad, Jessica, Seth, Moshe, Miriam, Rebecca, Tova and Shoshana. He was also the loving great grandfather of Yonatan.
Services held at the Torf Funeral Chapel, 151 Washington Ave., Cary Sq., Chelsea on Tuesday,, March 13, 2012 at 11:00 AM. Interment in Everett. Memorial observance will be held following the interment at the home of Lauri Rawls until 7:00 PM and Wednesday through Thursday evening at the home of Marci Elman. Donations in Jack’s memory may be made to the Chelsea Soldier’s Home, 91 Crest Ave. Chelsea, MA 02150.
