Mrs. Janice B. (McKeen) Senechal, of Taunton, died Saturday, March 10 in Longmeadow of Taunton following a period of failing health. She was the beloved wife of the late Alfred D. Senechal. She was born 81 years ago in New York City, the daughter of the late Harold and Grace (Barlow) McKeen. She was educated in Taunton, having graduated from the former St. Mary’s High School and was also a graduate of the Chamberlain School of Retailing in Boston. She had been a city resident for most of her life. Prior to her retirement, Janice had been employed in the office of the Newbury Insurance Agency in Taunton. She was a member of the former Immaculate Conception Church Womens Guild, and was also a Girl Scout leader. She enjoyed spending time with her dear friends and family. In her more active years, she enjoyed playing golf and walking her best friend, Gracie. She was a communicant of St. Jude the Apostle Parish, and the former Immaculate Conception Parish in Taunton.
She leaves: 3 daughters: Linda Boiros and her husband, Todd of Taunton, Nancy Wooster and her husband, Thomas of North Easton, and Gail Senechal of Middleborough; 1 sister: Joan Shurtleff of Lakeville; her brother-in-law: Leo Senechal and his wife, Joann of Taunton; her sister-in-law: Helen Senechal of Taunton; 4 grandchildren: Kelli Boiros, Kristen Mercier, Thomas Wooster, and Taylor Wooster; 1 great granddaughter: Liliana Mercier, and several nieces and nephews. Janice was also the sister of the late Judith Perris of British Columbia.
Funeral services will be held from The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, on Thursday, March 15 at 9:00 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in St. Jude the Apostle Church at 10:00 A.M. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
