Germaine C. (Camara) DeMenezes, 81, of Tiverton, RI died Saturday, March 10, 2012 at Sarah Brayton Nursing Home. She was the wife of Antone DeMenezes.
Born in Tiverton, she was daughter of the late Arthur and Mary (Cavaca) Camara. Mrs. DeMenezes was a C.N.A. in private homes until her retirement. She was a Communicant of St. John the Baptist Church, Westport.
Including her husband, survivors include a daughter: Mary M. “Peggy” Dube and her husband Richard of Fall River; a brother: Richard Camara of FL; 2 sisters: Geraldine Sylvia of FL and Beverly Lopes of FL; daughter-in-law: Elaine Potter; 3 grandchildren: Jennifer Fitton, Rachael Dube and Nancy Dube; 4 great grandchildren: Hadley, Emmaline, Landen and Seth; and several nieces and nephews.
She was mother of the late James S. DeMenezes and sister of the late Franklin Camara.
Mass of Christian Burial to which relatives and friends are invited will be Thursday, March 16, 2012 at St. John the Baptist Church, Westport at 10:00 A.M.
Calling hours Wednesday 6 – 8 P.M. at the Potter Funeral Home.
Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
