Olivia Carstensen age 91 a resident of Teaneck since 1949 died Friday, March 9, 2012. Beloved wife of the late Howard Carstensen (1996). Devoted mother of Patricia Clermont of Maywood, James Carstensen, and Sandra Carstensen of Teaneck. Olivia was also predeceased by her son Robert in 1998. Loving grandmother of Robert, John, Laurie, James, Janine, and Jennifer. Cherished great-grandmother of Jacob, Lindsey, Jarek, Kyle, Sarah, Mary, Olivia, and Brian. She was also predeceased by her sister Dorothy Marconi. The family would like to express their thanks to Ozzie Groomes for her dedicated care. Olivia was a longtime and active member of the Teaneck United Methodist Church. She was also a former Girl Scout Leader, an avid bowler, and many mornings she could be seen crossing the children of Teaneck on their way to school. Family and friends are invited to visit Sunday 2-4 & 7-9PM at the Volk Leber Funeral Home, 789 Teaneck Rd., Teaneck. A funeral service will be celebrated on Monday at 10AM at the funeral home.
